!!!NEWS!!!
* * * HALF PRICE LESSONS * * *
until 22nd August
We have only 4 weekends to prepare for Village Festival, so (after warm-up) most class time will be devoted to rehearsal.
As I feel a bit guilty about cutting learning time, lessons will be HALF PRICE till after VF.
That's $5 for 2 hours!
A great time for beginners to come and get a taste of tribal.
There'll be no class on 25th July - I'll be joining Dee and the Tribal Blossoms at the Feast
of the Senses workshops that weekend. I'll bring back lots of flamenco-inspired fervour to share with you all!
We've organized a drumming circle from 2:45pm Saturdays, just before class. Last
week we had a didgeridoo player join us! Fantastic sounds. Come early to learn basic Middle Eastern-style
rhythms and have your FREE extra 15 minutes of fun.
On Saturdays the La Rossa class is now preceded by a group of big burly knights (and me in
the middle), practicing medieval European martial arts - wrestling and a little dagger and sword. If you're a little
early for class you're welcome to sit in the verandah area off to the side and watch!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
La Rossa invites women and girls 6 and up, of all shapes
and sizes, to be active and have fun learning this great social dance style. You don't need prior dance experience.
You don't have to bare your belly!
Tribal Bellydance = danced as a TRIBE
Classes focus on dancing TOGETHER - we learn the moves, then share what we know by taking turns at leading the dance.
Each dancer has something special to share with the tribe, but no-one is forced to lead the dance - do it when you're ready.
Class time is YOUR time to relax outside your daily life, concentrate on your well-being, listen to your body and
connect with your fellow dancers. For busy women, tribal bellydance classes combine FUN aerobic exercise, stretches
for flexibility, wonderful music, relaxation and a social outing all in one!
